Managed Isolation Experience

We have in depth experience operating managed Isolation programmes for leading organisations and individuals in accordance with NZ Ministry of Health guidelines. We have hosted numerous international guests during lockdowns, creating internal bubbles and providing comprehensive Covid -19 response information, facilitating medical appointments, pharmacy collections, groceries and helping plan international travel returns throughout this turbulent period.

Procedures

Our preferred approach is the provision of an in-room cleaning kit for guests who do not wish to have staff enter their rooms.  This in-room kit consists of various cleaning cloths, cleaning products and glen20 (proven Covid-19 eliminating disinfectant spray)

If the guest requires a room clean:

  1. Housekeeping will contact the guest’s room from a vacant room or from the Office and advise the preferred cleaning time. They will instruct the guest to put on their mask and vacate the room to the preorganised area.

  2. Housekeeping staff will wear full PPE and ensure the room is vacant prior to entry. The room clean will use normal housekeeping procedures, the final clean of the room is completed using Virex, a proven Covid-19 eliminating chemical, which is used to spray down all surface areas and touch points.

  3. All linen is placed in a disposable bag for the laundry service, the bags are designed to break down in a 90 degree plus wash eliminating the need for touch by the laundry staff.

  4. Once the room is completed as clean, the guest is contacted to return to their room.

Relax and unwind with the comforts of home and a touch of luxury at Merivale Manor.

“Tough to beat the staff. Clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonable prices, but the staff of Kate and Matt really were fantastic! Town is close enough to walk if your in the tourist mode (about 20 min), bus stop right in front of the place if you'd rather do that, or drive (5 min). Bikes were available to borrow as well. Friendly staff are what really make a difference and this is a place we'll stay if we can make it back to Christchurch.” - Peter
