There is a Christchurch Metro public transport bus stop directly outside Merivale Manor. These buses travel directly to the central city bus interchange (approx. 15 minutes) Frequent, inexpensive and friendly, the ideal way to explore the city.
Uber and Ola are readily available throughout the city, available for booking through their respective app services.

“Tough to beat the staff. Clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonable prices, but the staff of Karen and Wayne really were fantastic! Town is close enough to walk if your in the tourist mode (about 20 min), bus stop right in front of the place if you'd rather do that, or drive (5 min). Bikes were available to borrow as well. Friendly staff are what really make a difference and this is a place we'll stay if we can make it back to Christchurch.” - Peter
